Prestige is The Forge's voting system. Readers can upvote or downvote stories, and the total prestige score determines rankings on the Forge Leaderboard. High-prestige stories get more visibility in the trending sidebar and community recommendations.

Yes! You can bookmark any Forge story, and GMN tracks your reading progress at the chapter level. When you return, you'll see a "Resume Reading" option that takes you right back where you left off.

For GMN original series submissions, we look for:

• Original work only — no fanfiction
• 6,500–7,500 words per episode
• Professional quality writing — clean prose, compelling characters, strong pacing
• Stories that fit our genre catalog (horror, sci-fi, LitRPG, drama, etc.)
• A complete series pitch including title, logline, genre, and at least a pilot episode

For self-publishing on The Forge, there are no content restrictions beyond community standards — all genres, story types, and lengths welcome.

Yes. Stories published through The Forge remain your intellectual property. GMN is a platform for hosting and sharing your work — you retain full ownership and can remove your content at any time.

Click "Join Free" in the navigation bar. You can sign up with an email and password, or use Google Sign-In for one-click registration. It's free and takes about 10 seconds.

Yes! From your profile page you can upload a custom avatar and banner image, set your bio, location, and website. Premium subscribers also get a blue checkmark badge displayed next to their name.

We take privacy seriously. Passwords are securely hashed, payments are processed through Stripe (we never see your card details), and the entire platform is served over HTTPS/SSL. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
